Welcome to CLMA & a Golden 70's Inspired Look.
Here you'll find your first lesson, 'Welcome to CLMA, with a golden 70's inspired look'.
This first lesson is super important, as its going to give you all the info on the etiquette & hygiene that's part of being a Makeup Artist, how to deal with working on a model and staying on top of your game.
Including a demo from Cassie creating a 70's golden makeup with highlights such as dewy skin and teaching how to cover acne.
Lesson 2 -
Private Clients & Smokey Eyes
Celebrity Makeup Artist Emily Clarkson takes you through this lesson, showing you how to create the perfect smokey eye and how to work with private clients.
The Smokey Eye is a staple look and is a must when training to be a Makeup Artist. It's popular not only with Brides or Evening clients but also with Celebrities for Red Carpet events and Music Videos.
Emily guides you through this lesson, giving you tips on how to layer products for longevity, working with complimentary colours and giving plenty of product recommendations.
Lesson 3 -
In this lesson we are learning about working with E-Commerce clients. E-Comm is such a great sector of the Makeup Industry, it's super important to a brand that the hair and makeup is perfect and fits their brief. You'll be mastering skills such as; how to master perfect skin, making sure you work with layers for longevity, working on set with a team and doing any touch ups.
We give you an insight into male grooming too and what would be needed.
Lesson 4 -
London Fashion Week
In this lesson you'll learn all about Fashion Week and what it takes to work on one of the most prestigious events in the fashion & beauty industries. Professional Makeup Artist, Rebecca Barnes teaches this lesson and demonstrates a typical look of what can be expected when working on a Fashion Week show. You'll pick up so many technical skills in this lesson, as well as learning about set bags and what to pack, the team and organisation involved in a show and any top tips if you're wanting to go into Fashion Makeup.
Lesson 5 -
Learn all about the Bridal industry, not just how to do a lovely Bridal makeup but also how to market yourself on social media and how to work with private clients. Makeup Artist, Jess Carswell, demos a timeless bridal look, showing you how to do the best skin prep and recommending products that will last all day on your Bride's special day.
The Bridal industry is a great starting point for Makeup Artists, as it's building your skills and is also a good way of earning money part-time if you've got a busy lifestyle or have another job you're not ready to leave yet.
Lesson 6 -
1950's Lips & Flicks
Cassie takes you through the theory of the 1950's, the era of Pin-up girls, full skirts and of course, the perfect eye liner with a red lip. This might seem daunting but Cassie's got some top-tips on how to nail these two skills every time!
It's so important as Makeup Artists we understand the previous decades and how they influence the looks we see today.
Makeup Artist, Thembi Mkandla, demos the perfect 50's inspired look. Showing you how to get the best application for matte skin, how to measure your model's eye to get the perfect flick and the best way to achieve a classic red lip.

Highlight & Contour
Highlight and contour has been around in the makeup industry for a lot longer than you think. Cassie takes you through the theory behind Highlight and contour and how it can drastically change not just face makeup but also on the body.
You'll learn how to contour different face shapes as well as eye shapes.
Lesson 8 -
This is a staple lesson for any Makeup Artist. You will learn how to mix colours to create any colour you want. Learn what colours compliment each other & what colours to avoid. What colours can be used as correctors and cancel out other colours.
Cassie takes you through the theory side of colours theory and Makeup Artist Thembi demos an amazing look using the foundation of colour theory.
